Credo

The men's vocal ensemble "Credo" was founded in the spring of 2015 on the initiative of its artistic director Robertas Vilkauskas. The director's idea turned into a collective - at that time there was a shortage of performers of this kind, who reworked popular pop songs from 1980 - 2000 and presented them to the audience using a modern style of performance. The group started with 5 vocalists, including 2 professional musicians, 2 business people and one teacher.

The first debut of the collective on the stage of Simnas Cultural Centre proved that all the expectations and hopes raised for the collective were fulfilled with a great result. The performers felt that their songs captivate, delight and ignite the hearts of others. Captivated by the audience's attention, the ensemble began busy evenings of rehearsals, where the repertoire was expanded and expanded with new schlager songs.

The ensemble's repertoire includes Lithuanian popular hits as well as Georgian and Ukrainian songs. The repertoire is constantly being improved and updated with new works. A couple of years ago, another member joined the ensemble to strengthen the group of second voices. Since the core of the group is male, the main focus is on cheerful songs about love for women.

The ensemble's biggest challenges are the concerts at the Alytus Theatre and the Gelgaudiškis Manor Festival.

In the future, the ensemble has reasonable ambitions to perform not only on regional stages, but also outside the region. We wish you memorable concerts and great success!
