Gojelis
The dance collective "Gojelis" was founded in 1989 by its founder and choreographer Birutė Sereičikaitė. In 1999 Gojelis became a choreographic studio. In 2002, the dance group was recognised as the best children's dance group and leader, and in 2003 the group was awarded the Lithuanian Folk Culture Centre's nomination "Aukso paukštė". Since 2014 the dance studio "Gojelis" has been led by choreographer Živilė Patinskaitė. The dance studio consists of two groups of solo line dances for youngsters, juniors, girls and girls. The group has over 70 dancers.
In 2016, the youngsters took first place in the "Pavasarinis šokių šėlsmas" competition. In the same year, they took part in the Lithuanian Schoolchildren's Song Festival dance day "Mano žemė".
In 2017, they won first place in the competition "Linedance širdis" and in the Lithuanian Country Line Dance Championship with their show dance. Participated in "Dzūkų šventė" in Alytus and international festival "Draugystės tiltas 2017" in Palanga.
In 2018, the youth group took part in the Lithuanian 100th song festival "Vardan tos..." - dance day "Saulės rato ritimai" and represented Alytus district in the festive procession.
In the same year, the young people took part in the international festival "Draugystės tiltas 2018" in Palanga and the international festival in Pisz (Poland).
In 2019, in the international festival "Draugystės tiltas 2019" in Palanga, in the line dance competitions "Linedance širdis 2019", "LITHUANIAN OPEN 2019", "Lithuanian KLŠA Line Dance Championship 2019" and won prizes.
The dancers of the youth group are actively preparing and hope that under favourable circumstances they will be able to take part in the 2020 Lithuanian Schoolchildren Song Festival "Tau" - dance day "Po pasaulio medžiu".
The youth dance group is a participant and prize-winner in many events and dance competitions of various themes.
The dance group consists of creative, inventive and sincere girls aged 12-16. Their repertoire includes Lithuanian folk, modern, recreational and line dances. During the season the dancers prepare several programmes and theatrical performances for concerts.
The group participates in events in Butrimonys town and gymnasium, as well as in events and festivals in Alytus district and in festivals all over Lithuania. They present their programme at birthday celebrations in Alytus, Druskininkai, as well as win prizes in line dancing competitions with enthusiasm.

The Junior A group is for children aged 7 - 8 years. These are the youngest members of "Gojelis". The group was formed and joined the Gojelis studio in 2019.
They participate in various events of the Butrimonys municipality and gymnasium. In 2019 they presented their dance programme at the Autumn Festival and Christmas event.
The young members of the "Gojelis" family willingly participate in the activities of the Dance Studio. Great attention is paid to their artistic self-expression, preparations for concerts and celebrations.
Members of the Youth B group are children aged 9 - 11 years. The children dance with enthusiasm Lithuanian folk, contemporary, ballroom, line dances and take part in the preparation of various show programmes. They also take part in the Butrimonys district celebrations, Autumn and Christmas tree lighting and gymnasium events. They are actively involved in the activities of Alytus district events and often defend their honour in various dance festivals.
The little ones actively and willingly participate in the activities of the Dance Studio. Great attention is paid to their artistic self-expression, preparations for concerts, competitions, festivals, dance festivals. The dancers of the junior B group are actively preparing and hope to participate in the dance day "Po pasaulio medžiu" of the Lithuanian Schoolchildren Song Festival "Tau" in 2020.
Creative children aged 12-18 dance Lithuanian folk, contemporary, ballroom and line dances, and take part in various show programmes. However, special attention is paid to Lithuanian folk dances.
During the season, several programmes and various artistic dance compositions are prepared with the young people. The youth group participates in various events in Butrimonys town and gymnasium - the Lithuanian Independence Day celebrations, the Atvelykis, Whitsun and autumn festivities, the Christmas tree lighting and many other programmes.
Young people present their activities and dances at mass events in Alytus district - Lithuanian Independence Restoration Day event and Kaziukas fair in Simnas, Užgavenės celebration and entertainment evening "Žolinė Pivašiūnuose" etc.
