The mixed vocal ensemble "Smiltė" was founded in 2011. It has 7 members. The group of people who love to sing have been polished like a diamond for ten years by the former and current leaders. The ensemble has been led by Alvyra Kazakevičienė, Virgilijus Jaseliūnas, and since 2016 the soul of the ensemble has been Dainius Juozapavičius.

The ensemble continues to be active, with a repertoire of more than fifty Lithuanian folk songs and popular music pieces.
"Smiltė" uses its songs to decorate Jurginės, Joninės, Oninės and other traditional festivals in Alytus district and in the beloved Nemunaitis. The ensemble's songs were performed at the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Lithuanian State in the Alytus City Theatre and at other events in Alytus and Varėna district.
The ensemble members admit that the songs sound the warmest in their own Nemunaitis, if they are sung in the town square - their beauty is sincere and melodious, if they are sung on the banks of the Nemunas - they return with a resounding echo from the other side of the Nemunas.
The ensemble is constantly improving, successfully expanding its repertoire, performing more and more complex songs.
