Vocal family ensemble
The family ensemble was formed in 1990. The ensemble cherishes the traditions, customs and way of life of the Dzūkija region and the Alovė region. Now the ensemble has 4 members.
The leader is Ramunė Miškauskienė, head of cultural activities of the Alovė department.
The ensemble's repertoire consists of Lithuanian songs and stories of various genres. Songs are accompanied by accordion, drum, armonica, kanklės and tambourine.
For the first time in 1990, the family ensemble took part in the republican competition "Graži mūsų šeimynėlė" in Varėna and won the 2nd place. For many years the ensemble has participated in the republican festival "Graži mūsų šeimynėlė" at the Folk Museum in Rumšiškės, as well as in the festival-competition "Graži mūsų šeimynėlė" of the Dzūkija region in Varėna, and in family reunions in Vilnius and Vilkaviškis. And of course, the song is the most popular at the events and parties in Alovė and Alytus district.
