Easter concert "Su paukščiais, su saule..." (With the birds, with the sun...)

16 April The traditional Easter Eve concert "With the Birds, with the Sun..." was held at the Butrimonys branch of the Alytus District Municipal Culture Centre.
The meaningful traditions and customs of the elders were recalled and the audience was involved in the action with a fun game by the Easter lady full of spring energy and the young "lalauninkės" who came to visit the celebration
The Easter concert featured Lithuanian folk songs performed by the folklore ensemble "Dėdės ir dėdienės" of the Butrimonys branch of the Culture Centre (directed by Laima Kalinauskienė), the folklore ensemble "Žolynai" of Eičiūnai (directed by Milda Stanevičienė), and the youth choir of the Alytus District Butrimoniai Gymnasium (directed by Neringa Valvonienė).
Lithuanian folk dances were performed by the pupils of the pre-school education department of Butrimonys Gymnasium and the dancers of the dance studio "Gojelis" (directed by Živilė Patinskaitė). Popular songs were sung by the vocal group "Crescendo" (directed by Laima Kalinauskienė) and the choir of the Butrimoniai Gymnasium, as well as the soloist Augustė Kairytė. The spectators of the event were especially impressed by the energetic and adventurous performance of the little dancers of "Gojelis" "101 Dalmatinas", while the plasticity of movement and the uniqueness of the costumes were expressively demonstrated by the girls of "Gojelis", who performed solo line dances specially designed for the programme of the competitions. The women's dance group "Gracija" also presented line dances at the Easter concert.
In the foyer of the Butrimonys branch of the Culture Centre, an exhibition of Easter drawings by the Butrimonys Children's Day Care Centre "TukTukas" was on show.
The Easter Bunny took the opportunity to invite everyone to the Pentecost celebration, which will take place on 27 May at 7 pm. On the Easter Sunday, on the square of Butrimoni, on the 18th of May. The evening programme will include concerts by Butrimonys art groups, the bands "Sandra and Viktoras" and "Belkanto". And at 18:00, before the Pentecost celebrations begin, Butrimonys will echo the Republican line dance festival " Šokantys Butrimonys" (Dancing Butrimonys).
