Ann's Celebration in Punia

As every year, the St. Anne's Day, the "Fresh Bread" festival, invites everyone to meet again at the foot of the historic Puņia mound. The celebration will begin at 6 pm. A festive procession of the communities of the Punia municipality will take place from the school to the Punia mound. The procession will be solemnly escorted by the copper brass band "Algupys" of the Babtai Culture Centre of Kaunas district. At 18.20, the orchestra will perform a programme on the stage, at 18.30, the fresh bread will be honoured with the dance group "Gojelis" of the Butrimonys Culture Centre, and the Annes' greeting will be given to the namesakes of the inhabitants of the municipality.
The local folk music band 'Punelė' will perform, the groups 'Bon Jeans', 'Vyšnios', 'Hiperband', 'Pelenai' will entertain the guests with their songs and music, and at 24.00 the sky will be lit up with fireworks and a laser show will take place.
There will be entertainment for the whole family at the mound - you can watch the Bread Road education, there will be entertainment for the whole family, there will be a great opportunity to ride in a horse-drawn carriage, to ride horseback, archery will require precision and concentration, and for the children's pleasure there will be face-painting, trampolines, and other engaging activities and entertainments.
